Ski/Snowboard in Niseko, Japan (Jan)

Post by msmin » Mon, 22 Aug 2011 1:59 pm

I'm planning a trip to Niseko (Hokkaido, Japan) from Jan 6 - 14 and hoping to rent a house. It accomodates 10 people, anyone game? 6 places left

I'm sure you've heard all about the legendary Niseko :) Powdery snow, mecca for snow hounds! Best snow in Jan :) Like any snow trips, the more the merrier eh

Leave your email addy and I'll build an email thread to discuss further as a group

Is Niseiko crowded? I'm a beginner at snowboarding and I'm really afraid of crowded slopes. Don't want to get into an accident :(

Somewhat related question, but I really want to go skiing with my family too, but worried about the cold (especially for the kids). Any recommendations for good winter jackets/thermal wear for young children? I find that a lot of them are very bulky and difficult to pack :( But at the same time, also want to be able to keep my kids warm!
