Hi All,
I'm seeking the collective wisdom of this forum.
I am planning to take a day off work in the next few weeks to take my mother out and about in Singapore.
I have considered activities such as a visit to Gardens by the Bay, eating at a nice restaurant etc... but these seem rather trite. Hence I would be grateful if you folks could share with me fresh ideas of activities and fantastic eateries that I could take her to.
much gratitude,
H&H

It depends on her fitness level and interest. If she is fit, I would love to recommend to her a cycling trip in Ubin. Is she loves chaotic markets, Bugis market might fit the bill. If she is into cultural stuff, the standard Little India, Kampung Glam and Chinatown trip will do.

thanks Lynx.
I've just found a few suggestions online - visiting cultural sites like the Peranakan Museum (where they allow you to be dressed up in the traditional garb).
Does anyone have recommendations on classes for cooking and floral arrangements? Thanks much!

Cook schools has been discussed before. Is she already a some-way able cook? That sort of leads the style of class; techniques vs 'rote follow-me' set menus.

Take her to Orchard Towers... the Naughty Girl... that will open her eyes.
Botanical Gardens fer sure. Top of Mt. Faber and a cable car ride down to Sentosa. Box lunch at Upper Peirce Reservoir... nice park...

You can apply for an employment pass.
(from the list of signs and symptoms telling you, that you are probably already too long in Singapore)

You also find (Googling) several suggested itineraries within travel articles. Like, 'What to do with 1/3/5... days in Singapore'.
They've also been occasionally linked. I forget the precise sources now, but Time out, TripAdvisor and Lonely Planet are good bets. The latter definitely have these within their 'city-break' guides. So as a first step I'd check their website, and then the others.
