Beef sausage rolls

With pre-rolled sheets of frozen puff-pastry this was super simple. Thought we'd enjoy a few, but ended up eating the entire batch in one go! :o

Bad timing to be reading this thread early in the morning without breakfast!

Do you roll it up, or have it like a flan (open top pie)? What's for sure is that pastry is so easy to use, it's quite something :)

I was wondering what to do with the rest of the sheets I have. Maybe next time I'll try some apple turnovers...

I rolled it up sealed it like an envelope.
I did the same with boiled eggs too and made an egg puff.
boil up some eggs, make sure they aren't over boiled, slice them in half, place them over a bed of fried red onions, green chillies and boiled mashed potatoes, and bake them for 15 mins , 180 deg C.

here is the receipe I would suggest

Good stuff! Nak's very tasty looking salad (I'd love to hear what the ingredients are, at first I thought it looked line pine nuts, then peanuts, but now I think it must be sweetcorn). RATM's mango puffs .... mmm, and the egg/potato puffs... I'll be studying that linked recipe a bit later. The concept of it sounds so versatile...

Tuna fish broth

Image
Ingredients

2 tuna fillets with skin
1.25 liters of water
4 cloves of garlic
a small piece of ginger chopped
10 baby potatoes sliced in half
1 tsp of salt
1/2 a red pepper chopped
2 cubes of Organic vegetable stock ( Kallo brand)
a large handful of freekeh

heat the water in a pan, toss in the potatoes and the stock cubes and some salt, add the ginger and garlic and bring it to a boil.
Next add the freekeh, the peppers and the fish.
Let this simmer for about approx 30-35 minutes over a low flame, stirring it occasionally, check the broth once in a while and serve it with some bread.
Pro tip: naans taste wonderful with this combination

wash it down with a cup of earl grey and maybe a cigarette
I'm a highly satisfied man

Nice looking soup. Thanks for the idea, I'd never thought of tuna featuring in a soup...
