Mystery fruit

Does anyone know what it is? It was handed out in a workplace 'healthy diet' promotion, together with two Japanese fuji apples.

It's about 3-4" long, and has no clear fruity smell. If it smells of anything it's reminiscent of the fresh smell you get lying down in a summer meadow of long grass.

Could it be a yellow dragon-fruit (if such exists) or some dwarf variety of pineapple (thought it hasn't the tough exterior) ?

Looks like a dragon fruit. Could you open up to see the flesh?

My guess is as good as yours...maybe it's a dried version?

Tried cutting it?

But dragon fruit are purple with green 'bits' on no? Well, hence the confusion.

I was hoping to know what it was before deciding how to best eat it. But! I might just have to get stuck in and see :)

Oh....!
And, the red one, to the centre 'south east' in the pic, with the unusual stem-hole is reminiscent of the structure on what we have. [reminds me of pomegranates]

We can probably assume that that's sorted...

Honestly, I didn't know yellow ones exist.

Do share a picture of the flesh after you opened it.
