Any man who refers to his wife as "Mrs ATLDML" seems a little hen pecked to me.

Well, no, just a turn of phrase....

But since she's found zero that she likes from 30 options, then why not go down the pub and leave her to go out and do the flat-hunting.

I expect that might focus her mind pretty sharply.

You might try Marina Bay Suites.
There is at least one 3BR being offered for $7,300, but you might get it down to the high end of your range.

It's a new project - it was completed less than a year ago.
It's just a 5 min. walk from Raffle Place and has its own entrance to the Downtown Station (Downtown line).
Just 2 stops away on the Downtown line you can connect to the NE line and 1 stop away the other direction you can connect to the Circle Line at Bayfront (MBS).
You won't need a car.

There's a small market in the Marina Bay Link Mall that will deliver for free for purchases > $30.
Two MRT stops away (at Chinatown Point) there's an NTUC supermarket.

There are quite a few pubs nearby for the weekday crowd.
Lau Pa Sat is also nearby for the hawker experience.

Each unit has a private lift and 1 lift shared with 1 other unit.

There is a large grassy area directly over the Link Mall and another at the Promenade.
Just remember to take along bags to clean up after your dog.

You can check online for floor plans and facilities.
It may be an option to consider.

Just wanted to close the loop here.

Thanks everyone for your comments. Some very constructive, some otherwise. After taking a look at several places, we chose between Marina Bay Suites, which was mentioned above, and St. Martin Residence on St. Martin's drive. Both had their +/-, but ultimately we went with St. Martin. It fit with our style of decor a little better, and the ease of access to outdoors with the dog was much simpler than with MBS. It's also a much smaller complex, with little to no construction around (for the moment), so it's fairly peaceful. While a bit further from work, it is still on a single bus route, so not too bad. We've been in now for a little less than two weeks, and are getting settled and getting to know the neighborhood. So far, so good.

Again, thanks all for your comments and help.

Cheers,
Dave
