It may or may not have gone over well with the Dean.
I'd like to see you get through a US airport in such a T-shirt! 8-)
No problem at all, as he isn't Arab. That's when you'd have trouble in the US. :)

("Arab" can be used interchangeably with anyone who is slightly darker skin and possibly from the Middle East or practicing Islam, at least in the US :P)

Nor are Iranians Arabs, but do you reckon the average 'airport guy' would know the difference based upon appearance alone?

Anyway, I take your point. Maybe Manson nowadays is about as 'taboo but ok' as some of the Sex Pistols iconography, etc, ...

My point was to the average airport TSA worker, everyone who isn't caucasian, african-descent, latin american descent, or east asian is arab :P

Ah ok.....

re: all the Ska music. Nah.... this was all charting during say my O-levels.

We were still Purple/Stones/ Sabbath then Dead Kennedys/not really the Pistols (for some reason), Sham69, The Who.

Bad Manners played a concert I went to at uni ...

BAD MANNERS - LIP UP FATTY

The only ones that really cut it from the Ska movement, IMHO, were The Beat.... The Specials were interesting but too self-indulgent/smart-arse/stoner.

Music trivia:

http://www.primelocation.com/for-sale/d ... oSWkJSi.97
Terraced house for sale in Lansdowne Crescent, Notting Hill, London W11

Jimi Hendrix died in the house, part-shown on the left of the main picture from the link above.

'The rock guitarist Jimi Hendrix died at the Samarkand Hotel, 22 Lansdowne Crescent, early on September 18, 1970.[5] He had spent the latter part of the previous evening at a party, was picked up by his girlfriend Monika Dannemann, and driven to her flat at the Samarkand Hotel. According to the estimated time of death, from post mortem data and statements by friends about the evening of September 17, he died within a few hours after midnight, though no precise estimate was made at the original inquest.[6]'
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lansdowne_Crescent,_London

Curious how when built, 1850s? That would have been ultra-posh. Due to wars the whole part of London (if not almost all of it) became very run down (no one could afford the huge houses any more, what with so many bread-winning men killed). By the 1960s that was still a rough area. Even by the 90s I'd have hesitated about taking a wonder down that way, despite living maybe just a mile away, in what was a pretty 'frontline' area itself. And now it's right back where it started off... ultra high-end.

RIP Jimi.
