S Pass with Misdemeanors in USA

Post by TBDetermined » Sat, 13 Sep 2014 2:02 am

Hello! I am going to be applying for an S pass soon .. my skill set aside (lets assume it is unique and desirable enough for approval):

I have misdemeanor (minor) drug convictions in the USA (its been over 6 years since the last one).
I have since, however, changed my life and have a 6-year track record of:
-recovery (have not used drugs/alcohol in 6 years),
-education (Earned a Bachelors degree near perfect GPA)
-solid work experience

I understand that S pass rejection is a possibility based on these facts,

My question is for anyone who has experience going through a similar situation:

Based on my circumstances, what additional supporting documents may I be required to submit?
Grateful for any advice!

Very difficult to say. Honestly it will probably come down to if your skill set is really "unique and desirable enough for approval". If so, they'll overlook a lot.
