ok fair enough. I stopped listening to Sabbath before that album (but still listen to everything else), but will check it out.rajagainstthemachine wrote:I am listening to the George Lynch Song its Super!! nice recommendation
but its quite not in agreement with my current playlist, i'm listening to all sorts of horrible loud thrashy screaming wishing death and evil upon the world kind of stuff and here you are posting a really cool riff laden song with
Ray Gillen on vocals ( have you heard his seventh star album on Black sabbath? ) it is one of the really underrated albums they have made.
solo at 3:23 is really nice and no wonder I
on the subject of Sludge, its normally associated with stoners and people who are in no particular hurry to sound fast, the slow pace of the songs and distortion add their own heaviness to the songs.
If you never heard this then you should, this was the start of it all, but few know this, probably Jimi's heaviest, grittiest, grungiest.
But oddly from his most soulful album. Unfortunately the 'technology' of music of the time was not where it is today and the drums and bass don't do justice to what Jimi is doing.
