Info required for relocating to Singapore

Hi...I'm currently residing in Kolkata, India. I have 6.5 yrs of experience in business and financial research and currently working in a Big 4 firm. I want to relocate to Singapore. I have applied to a lot of jobs through online job portals but I have not received any positive responses yet. Should I visit Singapore and meet up with a recruitment agency in Singapore? Would that help my case? What else should I be doing?

In short, it will be very difficult for you to secure a job in Singapore since a recent ruling that generally favours local hires.
It is probably not pragmatic to make a physical visit here if your chances are low to being with - but perhaps you may try reaching out to the recruiters here and liaise with them through phone.
