He is 'far out'. Lives in a place on Sunset Boulevard, LA. So full of Nazi regalia and stuff, you can't move.

But lives most of his life on a tour bus anyway.

Mean looking, but perhaps one of the more decent humble and upstanding people you'd ever wish to meet.

Thanks for that, I really enjoyed it. They were a band that at the time so offended me, I gave their entire opus a very wide berth.

[Though if I hear 'The Logical Song' one more time, I am likely to injure somebody ... lol]

Gotta love those 70s 'concept albums'
00:00 - A Dream Within A Dream (Instrumental)
03:41 - The Raven
07:40 - The Tell-Tale Heart
12:33 - The Cask Of Amontillado
16:51 - (The System Of) Dr. Tarr And Professor Fether
21:11 - The Fall Of The House Of Usher (Instrumental) Prelude
27:04 - The Fall Of The House Of Usher (Instrumental) Arrival
29:46 - The Fall Of The House Of Usher (Instrumental) Intermezzo
30:50 - The Fall Of The House Of Usher (Instrumental) Pavane
35:25 - The Fall Of The House Of Usher (Instrumental) Fall
36:18 - To One In Paradise

I'm currently listening to it. Interesting stuff (many thx)! Like Led Zepp invades Mike Oldfield's recording studio and try and imitate early Genesis.... on summink like that :)

p.s. The rock-opera/'concept' nature of it, is now reminding me rather of the Who's Tommy. .... With brief tangential flourishes a la Beatles. Wow pretty beguiling stuff!

And that's why if someone asks you who your [musical] influences are, just say 'Led Zep' and you get an immediate air of legitimacy.

Saw him when he played at Fort Canning.
Second half was old Led Zepellin favourites.

We all be getting old.
However, he's still rocking away.

Would think you should be saying The Yardbirds.

From The Yardbirds came Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck & Jimmy Page who became part of Cream, Led Zeppelin, The Jeff Beck Group.
Even Renaissance sprung from The Yardbirds.

Ooh Renaissance... and the Yardbirds, I've (some) weird* 10" EP of theirs back home in Blighty...

* Don't even recall what it is, just that it was 'rare' when issued back in the 70s

But saying 'Yardbirds' won't fool poseurs. It's air of legitimacy, not necessarily legitimacy.

Yes and no, after the first album the resulting Renaissance that most know and love (well me anyway) was a completely different group with completely different music and members.

A few years ago I backtracked and got the original Renaissance album with Keith Relf, which was interesting in its own way but not the Renaissance which was from their start and remains to this day a staple of my catalog.

First time back to this thread in about a year...
