Fitness Alternatives to Gym

Post by Zavier0 » Tue, 20 May 2014 12:31 pm

Hi guys, I am a 25 year old guy who is just bored of going to the gym. Anyone has any good alternative activities that can help me keep fit? Some of my friends suggested fencing and horse-riding...

funny that... my wife fences AND rides... and generally loves both activities.

i'm not 25, but i prefer swimming or going to the gym but i leave if it's anywhere near crowded.

Stand up paddling (SUP) is a great workout and a lot of fun. Can be a bit pricey unless you invest in your own equipment, but you can give it a try either at East Coast Park or Sentosa beach, they rent them out by the hour.

just do everything outside of the gym, like running along the singapore river, or cycling outdoors.

I'm doing parkour. The conditioning can be a killer if the coach feels like torturing us  Jumping and climbing around the urban jungle that is Singapore is quite fun.

Pull ups from the horizontal bars outside the block. Push ups inside the apartment. Stairs instead of escalator at MRT stations. Covers all major muscle groups if you look at it
