Visa Rejected! Help any reason?

Post by maceno » Mon, 26 May 2014 3:12 pm

Hi I am an indian citizen living in Canada. Have been in India for the past week now though so am applying for a visa from here. I used to live in Singapore and was a PR till I was 13. Moved to Kenya after because of my dad (he moves alot) so I dropped my PR as there was no point of doing National Service due to not having any family in Singapore after.

My family had moved back to sg last year (mom and dad who are PRs). I went to singapore last year successfully with no issues and extended my stay aswell. However I applied this year and got rejected. I dont know if its because I used to the same photograph as I did last year or because I applied for a 3 month stay? or because I only booked a one way ticket as I plan to head to Canada from there.

PLEASE help. I want to see my family and they cant come visit me cuz they need to work. Just want to know a few reasons why it could have been rejected,.I have no criminal records, Im just a simple 20 years old student who wants to see his family thats all.

*Off topic comment*: I'm extremely annoyed by broken English. Can you at least break down your sentences into clauses with proper "Subject + verb + (object)"?

You are Indian. English must be one of the first subjects you learned in your primary school.

It is doubtful that you will get a better shot. You ditched your PR but your record is still here and will be here forever. The gahmen have very, very long memory, you screw them, they screw you. Forever.

Why do you think just because other got back in you will as well?

Your mom & dad kept their PRs and you didn't. Pretty good reason as you deliberately absconded without doing your NS. You are a marked man. Just because others got back in doesn't mean all will. You have probably, for all intents and purposes, screwed your self in Singapore. Best thing you can do is just get a ticket for Canada (or stop in JB so your parents can see you by going across the border. You aren't the first who tried to play-play with the gahmen and got caught, you won't be the last. And frankly, it serves you right.

But yeah, booking a one way ticket is a no-no. You need an onward ticket. It's your type who make it rough for everybody else.

Im saying I had already gotten a tourist visa last year but its expired now ! and what makes me different from others who dropped their PR? One of my close friends lived in Singapore till he turned 17 and dropped his PR specifically for the reason of not doing the NS because he got into a good college in the uk and came back to visit his parents twice plus his dads a citizen.

I only dropped my PR because I was living in Tanzania when I was 17 and knew that my studies will not lead me to Singapore so I had to make a sudden decision while my parents didnt have to drop theirs till it expires. However, my dad had a sudden change of plans last year and ended up moving bck to Singapore so there was nothing deliberate about the PR dropping. Trust me I wish I stayed in Singapore, all this moving round is so annoying especially now when im in a situation like this.

But thanks I think its because of no onward ticket maybe, shall decide a date and book one to Canada from singapore and re-apply.

There is a good possibility that the government sees you as someone trying to stay in Singapore without paying their dues. You came in on a tourist visa last year and extended it to a three month stay and now you want to come back again( My boss' son is a UK citizen and his sister is a Singapore citizen, both went to Uni's in the UK London School of Economics for one who read law and the other to Cambridge where he got a B.Sc & M.Sc in Civil Engineering. She came home to Singapore but his father tried to pull a fast one the same way by not getting him PR but keeping him in the International Schools here. (Father's a Singaporean). Now the kid can only come in on a 30 days visa about once a year.
