Sipping some good red and hitting play on the Blu-way with my lovely wife laying next to me.

Don't need much more (apart from what happens... after the movie) on a typical weekday night. :)

Great for monks!
 Chatting with my monk friend at his chamber. It felt blissful. I breath easier. I am contented and don't need anything more.

Forget to mention, I love hanging out in this forum. Lots of fun and open-minded guys and gals.

I'd prefer to be thought of as bigoted and angry. (After all, history does not remember the meek).

What makes me really happy?

-Clean and uncluttered house
-Getting plenty of sleep
-Getting enough exercise. Nowadays, I would twist my abdomen while doing my mini-jog around the neighborhood. It looks silly but makes me happy that I am killing two birds with one stone.

So am just gonna steal some of your happiness. Please kindly share your HAPPIEST moment here, if you do have one. Or things that make you happy. Perhaps I can use some of your suggestions to be happy again. (Not saying I'm miserably depressed. Just feel kinda numb, day in day out everyday just the same, if you know what I mean).
I guess you do not need to do something extraordinary to feel happy. I've been watching Eckhart Tolle videos on youtube lately. You should check it out. I find his work pretty similar to Thich Nhat Hanh's. Meditation also helps you to appreciate small, meaningful things in life.

If you need something to cheer you up instantly, try watching Louis CK. I think he can be another George Carlin. Or maybe find some hobbies, something to learn. I am taking professional make up classes. I also learn to DJ by myself lol, as I've been listening to electronic music a lot these days (taking a break from Foo Fighters and U2 stuff)

I have dabbled with meditation for over two decades. Without much success. I refuse to give up and am now able to benefit from it. It is life-changing.

[I rather like the analogy of this forum and 'It aint half hot mum'... I think there is a lot of cross-over :)]. Just ponder for a moment who you would cast as whom ... hehe...

Good to hear, details would help.

So what happened and how? Did you have some kind of epiphany? Is it TM or another kind of meditation?

good book + beautiful background music + good wine + cosy bed + windy day = a happy bunny me :)
It is better to believe than to disbelieve. in doing, you bring everything to the realm of possibility.

As I get older the appeal of both fades... to be replaced by what?

Although my ginger cat cheers me up.
A ginger pussy? Noice!
