PR Formalities e appointment

Post by alibaba1984 » Wed, 19 Mar 2014 6:37 pm

Hi. Just got my pr app approved and heading for formalities. However, when I checked the e appointment system, the next available slot for formalities is somewhere in the middle of next month. Hence, my question is can I go directly to the pr service counter in ica to submit my formalities?

Thanks

Have you ever thought about WHY they make appointments? You can check on line daily to see it a vacancy opens up (they do occasionally). Not following protocol might just give them second thoughts as to your suitability as the protocol is already spelled out.

keep checking the site even after you fix an appointment. if u see an earlier date, u can cancel n reschedule.

i first got a date on April 3 but i checked again and there was a cancellation and got it on March 20.

it does not matter but u may get lucky.

hi, just for sharing.. i got my approval on 5 Mar, received ICA letter on 12 Mar and I made an appointment the next day for formalities - the earliest date I got was 10 Apr.. then I keep monitoring and managed to get a slot (which someone else cancelled, I supposed) on the morning of 31 Mar... so yea, if you want an earlier appointment, you will have to keep checking the schedule.. and congrats to you for getting your pr approved! :)

Hi Nithyaraj, I submitted my application on Dec 28 last year and got my approval on Mar 5, completed my formalities on Mar 31... So it took me slightly more than 2 months to get the approval..

Hi dylbroakl, i have a rather simple and common profile... my first application was rejected back in year 2010 after only six months working in Singapore, and i applied again recently and got my PR just last month...

- working in Singapore for 4 years (now in my mid 30s)
- i am a single female so no child
- i was holding S-Pass when i applied for PR
- annual salary below $50k
- i am a regular blood donor in Singapore (and even in my own country before coming to Singapore)

Many may think that my profile is too common to get approved for PR, so i am really thankful to be one.. :)

And by the way, i have some additional info for you too... my housemate applied for the first time in Oct 2013 and her application took longer than mine to approved, she got hers in mid March 2014... So i think first-timer application needs slightly longer time to process... hope you'll get some good news soon! :)
