Malaysia Tourist Visa

Post by kapadiabs » Sat, 15 Mar 2014 10:16 pm

Hi,

I have a valid Malaysia Tourist Visa till 23-Apr-2014 and planning to visit Malaysia in first week of April-2014 but one of my friend advised that Malaysia have some rule that you should have minimum one month valid visa. E.g if i want to go in Apr-2014 then my visa validity till May-2014.

Kindly advise,

Regards
Bhavin

Malaysia immigration will give you permission to stay till visa ex pry ... say 4 day left, you get 4 days

In case of Singapore the visa expiry date is applicable only for entry, after entry then can give you 30 days which could be beyond the original expiry of the visa. Same case with Australia also, its clearly mentioned, last entry by date. Not sure about Malaysia, but if I were to make a guess, I would imagine its along the same lines as Singapore and Australia.

Malaysia visa reads "Good for any number of entries within XX months from the date of issue"

Let say i am planning to go to Malaysia on 5th April 2014 and my visa expires on 21-Apr-2014 so they will allow me to stay only for 15 days.

You can enter Malaysia till the date of expiry indicated in your visa. On entry, when your passport is stamped, there will be an indication on how long you can stay (which will most probably align with your visa expiry date).
