I don't usually raise an eyebrow at most cover versions ... BUT this is something else ...

Pearl Jam - Baba O' Riley (Live 2003)

Wonderful. He owns the vocals. The gittars are all there. Nice... the band are buzzing, as they know they're nailing it.

Pearl Jam - Singapore Tour 1995

I saw them on this tour. Was kinda surreal having the cops come in and stamp all over the show, and then close it down after 20 minutes.

Was P'ing off 30k people a good plan?

Funny. All these bands emerged from within 2 square miles, 1976-1982. From Steel Pulse, to Aswad, to the Sex Pistols, etc... [refer next: The Who from down at The Bush]

Funny#2. I'm still a habituee of Notting Hill (have been for 25 years, since I bought my first bomb-hole bolt-hole there for £65k). Love the vibe... this IS the historic vibe, that just gets glossed over by newcomers.

The Specials - A Message To You Rudy

Funny thing is I recall the Ska scene revival breaking right when punk did.

They were certainly interesting times.
