Edit the appeal application, possible or not?

Post by celananya » Sun, 15 Dec 2013 9:57 pm

My s pass got rejected. I am so sad to hear that, really.
My company wants to appeal.
However, there somehow an information that is slightly wrong.
I suppose that my boss has submitted the application.
What should I do?
Is there anyway to edit the information even though it's been submitted?

Thanks

If the "information that is slightly wrong" is not the result of an out and out lie to try and get you a work permit, then the appeal should contain the updated information.

Hello, thanks heaps for replying.

My boss put me as a graphic designer, when it is supposed to be web designer.
I know it's slightly different but it's a different job after all.

Can I really ask my boss to edit/change the information after she submitted the application?

You really need to try and understand why your s pass was not approved. I don't think that a title change such as you have mentioned would make the difference. More likely, it is salary, quota, or educational components that have blocked your pass.

Both occupations are a dime a dozen here in Singapore. So, I am also of the belief that it is possibly a educational criteria or a salary versus experience and position. If you salary offered is less than what could be reasonably expected for someone with your credentials and experience, it's likely to be rejected, as you definitely would not be considered foreign "Talent" if your offer is not up there where it should be.

I am a fresh graduate. Perhaps that's the reason isn't it?
My boss said the rejection left no reason.
My salary is $2,400 per month.

I was studying here in Singapore for 2 years.
I am afraid it's the quota thing.
But my company is now expanding their business.

My friend said it's very common to be rejected at the first time especially if you don't have any experience...

I do hope I could be approved in this first appeal.
I cannot really afford losing the job :(

If you are a fresher, don't waste your time appealing. Unless you have at least 2 years of 'good' experience you are not going to get approved regardless of how many times you appeal unless you have a niche skillset that is virtually impossible to find among the local graduates. From what you have given us thus far, nah, it's not going to happen.
