Hi,
I'm a type 1 diabetic currently in the UK and I have been offered a job in Singapore. However, I can't seem to find any information on the cost of insulin in Singapore, if anyone knows roughly what a 5x3ml cartridge box or a 10ml Vial of Levemir, Humalog or Novorapid would cost then please let me know!
I've found prices for needles and test strips and they seem comparable to the UK, when I've bought off prescription in emergencies.
Obviously living in the UK all my Diabetes supplies are free of charge so I need to know roughly what I will need to budget for supplies in Singapore, if the cost is too high then unfortunately the move may not be worth it.
Thanks in advance.

There's a really cheap pharmacy just across the border in JB. I think it's APEX in City Square. Google them and ask - you don't need scripts.
IME medicine (if compared unsubsidized to unsubsidized) is much cheaper here and in JB even more so than in Australia/USA/UK. If you're getting it subsidized then it's not so clear cut. You always have the option of Thailand as well - very cheap medicine there. Rest assured there IS a solution here.

I was in the same boat when I came over two years ago from the UK.
Check with your company insurance and find a surgery that stocks insulin as you can get your prescription for free that way. I also use NovoRapid and Levermir catridges for my type 1 diabetes.
PM me if you need any more help.

you could make a short trip to JB and buy your diabetes supplies once a month, it seems the best/easiest option.
or
have a drone deliver it for you in a coca cola carton "flying diabetes"
To get there early is on time and showing up on time is late

Of course but like you can see there is not a mention of Lantus and he don't say that he can find his novorapid in singapore.
But, thank you and sorry for disturbing you.

Johor bahru is a state of Malaysia.one can take a bus from Singapore to JB ,clear immigration and you are in Malaysia where the ringgit is substantially lesser than the Singapore dollar. You can buy your diabetes supply there.

You maybe need more than what you are asking for. The other poster indicated he'd "had" the same problem when he first came here TWO YEARS ago. He also indicated he could help you out if you contacted him. Did you?
Did you call either of the Pharmacies via the links I supplied you with, along with the Local Doctor's link (below) which specifically mentioned NovoRapid?
