Medical Exam Employment Pass P1 German / EU Nationals

Post by Peter1979 » Sat, 10 Aug 2013 11:39 pm

Dear all,

Please let me know if everybody applying for an Employment Pass in Singapore, if all the paperwork has been approved, has to pass the entire Medical Exam?

I found many contradictory Information on the net and would appreciate to get your experience.

In my case I am from Germany and will apply for Employment Pass P1.

Is it OK to bring an English certificate from abroad or do I possibly not have to take an examination at all?

Please share your experience.

Peter

You will probably be only required to sign a document stating that you do not have HIV or TB, but your AIP letter will specifically state what you must supply.

If you do need an exam, you should just do it in Singapore.

I didn't have to do any medical exams for my P1.
Nothing about a language certificate or exam either. That's something that wouldn't hurt to bring though.

if you do need to have a medical, they aren't expensive - around $40.

Bring the original certificates. colour copies aren't accepted.

HIV is the big one. TB also. After that, who knows.

If you are HIV positive you probably will not be given entry to Singapore.

There is no doubt with HIV and TB.
I don't think the answer could help.
