I wasn't born until a decade later. But for those of you who were around back then and can remember the events, where were you when you heard the news about the assassination?

I was a junior (11th grade) in High School and I was in "Biology" somewhere between 1:45 & 2 pm when we were notified via the Public Address System in the school. At that point we only knew he had been shot though, not that he was dead. By the time school let out at 3:20 we had been told that he was dead but it wasn't till I got home that the whole story was fleshed out via TV. He was actually shot around 12:30 but there was a 1 hour time difference between Texas and the East coast of the US.
SOME PEOPLE TRY TO TURN BACK THEIR ODOMETERS. NOT ME. I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW WHY I LOOK THIS WAY. I'VE TRAVELED A LONG WAY, AND SOME OF THE ROADS WEREN'T PAVED. ~ Will Rogers
