My first ever online comment to get rejected by a Moderator

Post by Barnsley » Tue, 12 Nov 2013 8:31 am

I suppose it had to happen sometime .......

Was reading a complaint letter from someone on EssTee letters page about the escalator in Pasir Ris MRT being under repair.

They asked why doesn't SMRT put a sign up saying when work will be complete and having a general moan up.

All I said was that a sign had been up from Day 1 of the maintenance and it stated that the escalator would be fixed by 19th November. I did tag on the line "Maybe the original complainer couldn't read"

Anyway it didnt make it past the moderator ......

Will try again

When did this happen? When was it posted?

OH! Wait a minute! Barnsley, you said you were on the EssTee letters page and it was there you made the comment? At least that's how I'm reading it. Knowing us, had you posted it here, I doubt anybody would have deleted it. In fact, we would have probably piled on like a rugby scrum.

The local mainstream media are very prickly about what they allow published on their websites (or indeed hard-copy publications).

I can well imagine a 'Heartlander citizen' having a whinge about just about any aspect of daily life, and it being indulged (just look at Stomp). If you come along and break the spell and momentum, ironically, it's you that'll likely get stomped on.
