Buy the electrical appliances. For one thing, it's 220 V in Singapore. Using transformers isn't worth it.

One big thing to think about, mattress sizes.

Do not bring your own mattresses/bed frames unless you are very very sure you can fit them into your new place here. Better come here first, have a feel, and then buy your mattresses/bed frames here instead.

Sometimes a matter of few inch difference between European size and Japanese size will cause a huge headache (and a very expensive shipping cost plus storage cost afterwards when you realise you can't fit it in)

Be prepared to pay a huge sum here for a decent mattress, though. Or rent a furnished flat.
