Yep. Everybody trying to get in before the door slams shut. But if you check the available dates on a daily morning basis, you might catch an earlier opening after somebody realized they don't really have a hope in hell and decided to go home or to Aus/US/UK/Canada instead. If you do, grab the opening and you are good to go. We recently had one with a Jan or Feb date found a cancellation in three or so weeks I believe.

Just keep logging in and checking via the regular ICA PR portal with your Singpass.

You are only allowed to change once after you signed for a slot.

Hi trashmaker,

Mind me asking a question:
1. Did you go to ICA for manual assessment before doing this online application? Or you just trying your luck in online application?

I didn't bother doing the manual assessment, I just applied straightaway. I figured it's only going to get tougher from here on, so I just applied. Judging by the volume of applicants, I don't fancy my chances anymore.
So does that means you are already eligible to apply for SC?
Or,
choosing a date is just a part of the process of application without them (ICA) telling you whether you are eligible to apply or not?

Well, the next available date for PR application appointment is Feb 2014. I am hoping lotta slots will open up after the new HDB rule earlier this week.

Sounds reasonable.
