Choosing a helper as a soon to be FT Working Mom

Post by Flick12 » Mon, 08 Apr 2013 11:38 pm

My daughter will be 1yo in July and I may have the opportunity to work FT again. As in it's been offered and it is a good opportunity to wouldn't say no.

For those FTWM out there, how did you choose your helper? I have a long list of things... good english so can communicate well with me what is happening etc., loves babies, baby experience for 1yo+, dependable, kind, can cook baby food, etc, etc. Maybe I am asking too much? Am I? How did you find your helper or did you take a chance on someone with less experience and it worked out? What were the main attributes you looked for? Thanks!

BTW, I'm looking at the helper as opposed to childcare route bc of her age and my preference for her to be able to stay at home with a consistent caregiver as opposed to a child care centre.
