Recommended International Mover - UK London to Singapore

Post by KBMamba24 » Fri, 28 Jun 2013 11:27 pm

Hi.

Moving from just outside London to Singapore next month. Anyone recommend a reliable mover company? Not moving furniture, just a whole load of boxes!

Thanks

I really rated Davies Turner for our UK to US move. Went without a hitch.

We moved from London to Singapore too. Sterling were unbelievably professional, particularly in the London leg. Here it was more average. A good friend used them too and very pleased as well. I don't know how they are priced though because it was a corporate move.

I used Simpsons. Not sure if I'd recommend them.

They packed everything with extraordinary efficiency. I was dizzy watching them go through the boxes.

The unpacking was contracted to a local company (did not get a name). A group of mainland Chinese who took forever to complete it, as they were too busy examining each object they took out of the boxes and commenting/laughing loudly about it (in Mandarin) with the others. It was very off-putting.

The end result was one broken mug, slightly wonky lampshades and the rubbish from the kitchen bin in London (lovingly wrapped in three miles of bubblewrap).
