They will ask you all sorts of questions ranging from your favourite food to open situational questions. I believe the main objective of the first round is to see how well you can listen to instructions, answer to the point and how you present yourself. Just my pov. Good luck! :)

the questions i got was

- if you have a foreigner friend, what local food would you recommend him/her, and why?

- if both the interviewers are foreigners, first time in singapore,
where/ what place would i recommend them to go?

- what is the one thing you like best about yourself?

the first round really depends on luck, i saw people who answered really well get booted out during the first round,
and also people who was so nervous and couldn't even talk properly got in (and starting training alr)
so yeah.

but i'm really depressed. lol i tried 3 times alr and i kept getting booted out during the third round which is the 1 - 1.
i tried being confident and being really shy and scared but still failed. :/
LOL maybe i'm just not cut out for it.

really tough questions for me during 1 - 1.
the first time, i guess the interviewer really dislike me cause i left my job and was jobless at that point of time,
saying that i'm too rash and didn't plan for my future at all, and he didn't even let me read the passage that everyone got to read. :(

second time was quite bad too cause i didn't know how to answer those situational question (i misunderstood the question)

sad. :(

they would also ask how well you can manage stress, and your hobbies etc.

fingers crossed for the next interview! hahaha
the sky is the limit. (:

Age limit?

Post by acherryx » Thu, 20 Jun 2013 10:48 am

Hi all, anyone know what is the cut off age for females? Heard it is an unspoken of about 25 yo. But have heard that if you maintain your looks well it doesn't matter? Thanks!

jaywii: same here i've seen confident candidates got booted out and people whom we don't remember what they've said got in instead lol...is this a luck thing or depends if the interviewers like you (and your answers) or not?

congrats to those who got in. Any tips to share? :)

I think cut off age for SIA is 29/30. SIA prefers young applicants tho. Some late twenties still will get tru.

Hello there,

I'm June batch candidate. I have some enquires to make.

First of all, this morning I have just submitted my army medical report as the doctor wants to know the reason why am I downgraded to C9L9. The reason is I used to have mild eczema and dry skin during army days. Also, I submitted a referral letter from my regular doctor that I am fully recovered. I am wondering that does SQ reject C9L9 candidtaes? Does anyone facing this problem before?

Next, this afternoon I have received a missed call from a regenerated number which is unavailable in use, 6540 3555. Anyone received this number too? I hope it isn't from SQ.

Your replies are truly appreciated. Thank you.
