is it have less chan to get wp if im diploma holder?

lol everybody say im not good at english and i think its correct.

im 20 years old south korean who graduate diploma in Singapore FEB 2013

now im hired at restaurant as a chef. Where hiring me is local Singapore restaurant and boss is Singaporean.

But she today call me and said, it is not clear that i can get a wp or not beacause im diploma holder.

so i want to ask is it have less chance to get wp if im diploma holder.

Wp is a pass for unskilled foreigner who wish to work in singapore. As long as your company have enough quote to hire a foreigner, normally the wp will be approved.

Like so many chefs in restaurants have degree in gastronomy... if they are giving funny reasons I would suspect of some other reason.

Right but maybe they're on EP, not WP. I think what the boss is alluding to is that he maybe be overqualified for WP salary and it will look like he's trying to undercut.
