Pre-approved dating in singapore

Post by morenangpinay » Fri, 31 May 2013 5:38 pm

They have a new reality show entitled "It's a Date". after 3 episodes, the couple will be replaced by two new participants. The dating experts are approved by the Social Development Network.

Not at all. The govt for years have been trying to encourage the right type of Singaporeans to meet, marry and produce. The big groups of university aged kids you see in East Coast Park for example are generally part of these types of schemes.

I laughed when I read this post. That TV show sounds like a load of crap. But I guess if it attracts viewers, as I'm sure it will, the "goal" will have been met.

I wonder if they'll broadcast to viewers if the couples break up after the episodes air.

These types of shows have been on in the U.S. (and probably in other countries) for at least 10 years. I watched a few when they first came out but stopped because they're all so stupid. How are people supposed to "date" while they're being followed by a camera crew? These people are probably more interested in being seen on TV and/or becoming famous than they are actually meeting someone.

I never watch them so don't really know what I'm talking about, but seems to me the term "Reality Show" is an oxymoron.

i dont watch reality tv either. But the effort the government is giving to this matchmaking and dating stuff is ridiculous.

Reminds me of a lovely ex-SGn girlfriend. She got channeled off into the SDU. She left the country (rich family), and has settled in Europe > now 2 children.

She told me about the SDU, ... woo scary.

I saw an article about this in the TODAY newspaper today. The 3 bachelors are asked the following questions:

1. If you were captain of the Love Boat and I was a passenger, where would you sail to and why?

2. If you were a magician, what trick would you use to impress me?

3. If we were stranded on a deserted island together, what would you do to keep me safe and warm?

4. If you were a handyman with a box full of emotional tools, what would you fix about yourself?

5. If you were a dessert, what desser would you be and why?

The newspaper then provides an "analysis" on each bachelor.

In my opinion, these are really dumb questions.

It is piteous nonsense, that treats adults like teenagers.

But hey-ho...

There is only answer to question 3 surely? I don't think I'd be interested if he said something like knit me a sweater from coconut matting.
