If PRC and with MOM and the Dog above's blessings (baby boy), and with the Hubby local with a degree. You might be approved but I would wait, make sure you have the baby in Singapore thereby acquiring Singapore Citizenship and then apply under the Family Ties scheme.

Hi sundaymorningstaple,

you mean to wait for PR results, after which apply for citizenship when my baby is born?

As baby is due in July, thus dunno how long the result will stretch.

Faced many issues when mum is not PR such as grants, insurance etc.

With the recent debates and hong lim park stuff, dunno will affect the chances of PR applicants.

sunday means (i believe):

your son will automatically get singapore citizenship when he is born.

wait until your son is born before applying PR for your wife under the FAMILY TIES scheme (or perhaps in your case, changing the application?).

july is not long more. i believe your son is entitled to:

http://www.babybonus.gov.sg/

can't help you with insurance, but i don't think mommy insurance has much to do with citizenship. too late now for her, as the baby's due soon.

you knew that PR/citizenship was not guaranteed when you married her, right?

edit: someone said when one goes from LTVP to WP, she is not under any quota - this might help her employment prospects.
