We are Americans moving from Los Angeles to Singapore this summer. I have three sons ages 9, 7 and 5 and they are in a Mandarin Immersion school here. For a variety of reasons we are keen to enroll them in a local school when we get to Singapore. I have seen dozens of posts about local schools being high quality, etc, but it seems most ex-pats actually end up sending their kids to Int'l schools. Are there parents out there who DO send their kids to local schools and if so would you be willing to share your experience with me? I understand that it can be as difficult to get in to local schools as
International Schools, but once you are in, are you happy? Do your kids like it? Is the education they are receiving good? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
