S pass holder apply PR.

Hi, Would like to seek the experts on PR application based on the status below: 

Nationality: Malaysian Chinese
Age: 28 
Industry: Recruitment Agency
Salary: 2k with S Pass
Duration in SG: Since March 2008
1st Job: Baker - WP 1.5 years
2nd Job: Sales assistant - WP 3 years +
3rd Job: Recruitment Agency - S Pass 3 months

Do I have chance to get my PR?

Salary and quals look low to me.

M'sian Chinese or not, I doubt you would be successful, but then again, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Just be prepared for rejection and anything else will be a bonus.

With that salary I wonder how you survive in Singapore. Do you live in JB and commute to SG daily? You are not getting PR if you are doing that.

I know a lot of PR holder that commute JB - SG for all their live and they are PR holder and renewed without any issue at all. They come here to work, that's it, even for food, they will take away from JB. :D

iloverice, I'll bet they all have a "legal" Singapore mailing address though, correct?

I believe so, they always can "borrow" their converted family members, and it just irk me, this practice been going on for years. Well, who am I to complaint hahaha...

I know people who travel from one end of Singapore to the other end every day via taxis. Do you reckon it's any more expensive than that during peak hours?

Expensive not only in term of $ but travelling time also. Generally will need to take 2 hours one way, 1 hours ferry 1 hours immigration clearance, not counting time from ferry terminal to home or the other way round, and the fee for return is around $35-50.... :roll: :roll:

So then the time and cost factor are nearly identical if talking about Changi to Tuas and peak hour traffic 2x a day. Was just a thought. Add to that considerably cheaper cost of living. Still an option if circumstances were right. But agreed, it's definitely not for me.
