There used to be one, with live music, mostly Malay and Indo metal bands, but the name escapes me and I'm not sure if it's still open.

That was excellent. I hadn't heard that before.
I haven't listened to them for a few years since I bought their Erpland CD. They're an interesting mix of Neo-Prog, Space Rock and Trance.
From that album - Sunscape (live 1991)

Radio Caroline used in the 60s and 70s. I was just a spotty teenage (fanatic) listener back in the 70s, but got to know some of the folks involved later on. They're still going now (on land, although do they still have ther last ship) and they play a pretty wide range of music that you might enjoy.
Thanks for that site, new info for me and I will look into their streams.

Hey Brah, if you're around now, I'd recommend Peter Antony's programme right now on Radio Caroline, and Rob Harrison later on:

Not sure how I made this connection, but maybe there is one...
Where OT are an interesting blend and somewhat new, this is a much older act of another interesting blend of Space Rock, Jam Band, Synthi-something, and general Stonehenge Hippy Trip:
Steve Hillage - Not Fade Away (Live):

This album I picked up not long after it came out, has some of the Utopia bandmembers on it: Steve Hillage - Electrick Gypsies:

Not for everybody...

Nice bit of duelling on the drums there.
I'm not familiar with Megadeath (I only know their name). Could you perhaps suggest something/link that you think if representative of their style/genre?
Many thanks!

Hangar 18 - Megadeth
That's the best of Megadeth, pay attention to the drum fill bit... My inspiration!

ummm... imagine a band called "Megadeth"... then try to imagine the kind of music they would play, based on the fact you know they have guitars. You've probably got it about 98% right.
Who? What? How? Why? Where? When? Merde...

One clip so I'm on the fence, they're almost there for me, I can't see myself listening to Megadeath when I can listen to Symphony X, but I need to hear more to really get a better idea of them.
When that ended another clip came up - Is that Metal?
who killed metal ?

I agree with everything except slagging Extreme.

It is, but I don't think the notes correspond to the voice, it sounds like notes are being played, and the voice is going through the output like a Vocoder; either that, or the voice comes through on any note, and multiple notes harmonizes it.

You could be right, and I thought it sounded like that at first. But if I understood correctly, what you here is only the sound of the piano, i.e. many notes being played simultaneously and rapidly, thus recreating the spectral pattern of a human voice. The thing I'm unsure about is how they managed to create the "
sh..." sound (as in "politi
cians") and the "
ss..." (as in "po
ssible").
Either way, it's enough to give me bad dreams man.

Music School

First post
Thinkin of opening a shop selling musical instruments and later perhaps some sort of a music school. Feasible in Singpare?
Thanx

Should be feasible since many kids in schools study music and musical instruments, so parents would need to be instruments or have coaches to teach....
