Consulting Jobs for Expats

Post by roy987 » Wed, 12 Dec 2012 12:18 am

Hi,

I'm currently in India working as an HR Consultant for one of the Big 4 Audit Firms. I am an MBA in HR from one of the premier bschool in the country and have a total of approx 3 years of work experience (2 before MBA and almost 1 now)

I am looking for job opportunities in Singapore. Can anyone (especially Indians) tell me what would be the best source to look for job opportunities (consultants/website/etc)

Thanks,
Roy

Australia or Canada. Singapore produces enough of their own. It would be virtually impossible to obtain permission from MOM to work here and there are more than enough HR personnel being churned out in Singapore already.

If you can, get a transfer with your current company. Or alternatively, get a role with a MNC in India (which has an office in Singapore with an HR team), be upfront about your desire to move to Singapore and go from there.

You said you're a consultant - do you specialise in any particular area of HR or are you a generalist? This could make things easier. For example, sometimes Rem & Benefits specialists can be a bit tricky to find in Singapore so your chances would be better.

IF you could find a job with Aventure or one of those similar useless expensive firms that might be a way in.
Now I'm called PNGMK
