EP - 3 year renewal

Post by FaeLLe » Sun, 11 Nov 2012 10:52 pm

Hello all,

Has anyone heard of Employment Passes starting to get renewed for three years?

The person who I am referring to has been turned down for his PR application thrice (twice after getting married) but this year got his EP (P1 he claims) renewed till 2015.

Also my gym trainer told me that his EP got renewed till 2015.

Just seems interesting to me since previously I thought the maximum renewal term was 2 years.

Any comments or changes that I am unaware of..

All of mine have been getting 3 years renewals if we ask for them.

The maximum allowed in the application is 5yrs (60months) but I've never had close to that. A few months ago I got it for 3yrs, which for me is the more normal level.
