plastic fastener?

I have serious troubles to identify the right name for this kind of fastening strip:

"Plastic fastener" gives very low No of hits so how is it called?

I've always called them cable ties.

Working offshore, that's all we ever called them.

Speaking of which, I'm still amused that Mustafa uses them in their shopping bags.

Yeah, this is clear but they must really have a problem with this if they decided to go for such expensive solution (probably few hundred dollars a day).

Eh, first hit on Google I found 10,000 of them for USD $65. Even they're paying double, that's cheaper than one more CCTV.

Not sure. You forgot about Mr fastener and Mr defastener or even 4 Mr s all together. If they decided to go this way it rather meant they were not in favor of CCTV (likely ineffective).

I thought of them, but assumed you'd need just as many (or more) Mr CCTV-Watchers to monitor a place the size and as busy as Mustafa, and then one or two more to run out and follow the people seen acting suspicious on CCTV.
