Singapore Citizenship Application- Final Stage

Post by PR2SGCitizen » Wed, 18 Apr 2012 9:59 am

Good day All,

I applied for singapore citizenship last year ( been 6 months) , I called ICA Hotline to check the application status. The lady told me the application is in the final stage and it will take 6 months or more.

Anyone had experience this situation before , final stage.... what does it mean ? Any thoughts on this ?

Greatly appreciate the experts feedback...Many thanks

It means you have 6 months to continue to sweat it.

Six of one, half a dozen of the other. How long is a piece of string. Nobody knows what goes on behind the doors of ICA except Mad Scientist. And all who have managed to get behind those doors and found out have been sworn to secrecy or will lose their first born son, or shot, or worse, made to work on a WP and never given permission to marry. :-/

He cannot, for the reasons I gave above! :o

He'll be along in a couple of hours in all probability, if you can wait that long. (he's in a different time zone as he's currently working in Christchurch, NZ)

Citizenship application > vetting and approval varies from 3 months to 2 years.
Final stage can be anything which I hazard to guess.
If you have additional infos that might tilt the balance to your favour, forward it to them like salary increment, a hand shake photo with Harry or something.
Patience is the word

It took me just two months to get my Ozzie PP but I am still not qualified for EU PP even though my wife is European and that was 15 year ago!!
