3-month insurance on a tourist visa

Post by Seeny » Thu, 26 Jan 2012 4:02 pm

Has anyone tried to arrange a 3-month health insurance in Singapore, while being here on a tourist visa?
I probably can not get a Singaporean private insurance as I am not formally registered here yet.
My travel insurance is not valid here as I have "emigrated" from my home country and not contributing to the national scheme any more.
Is there any temporary solution you can think of? (until I fix LTSVP here)

Thanks a lot!

You can try googling for 'lockton insurance scope'

It seems to be an insurance product set up for precisely this reason.

Try looking into travel insurance from your home country instead. Look for the one that can be fixed based on your duration and location. Most insurance brands cater for these.

This is unfortunately not an option anymore. I have cancelled residence in my home country, and the insurance companies won't issue a valid travel insurance, because I am not traveling, I have officially left the country.
