Where can we take our old Nintendo64 ( american) for repare? Thanks.

oooh... that's nasty. i'm not sure if people still repair those, but i'm sure if you head on to (without the unit) any of the heartland neighborhood stores that sells games, they'll tell you where's the best place to get it worked on and if it's worth repairing.

or else pop in to sim lim square to ask - but you might get taken for a ride.

otherwise i can sell you my mine! i've still got it with all 4 controllers and a buncha mario 4-player games...

but in that case, you'd have to make a donation to the Cheshire Home.

What exactly is wrong with your N64?

As the power unit is detachable, I've always wondered if you can take that piece from a different unit, meant for a different market with a different voltage, and still get the system to work.

This would be a great way to get an NTSC N64 to work on Singapore voltage without a separate converter.

You can use a N64 emulator and download masses of N64 roms to your home computer. Buy a gamepad controller and you've got a new toy!

You can get an emulator for practically every game system out there.

So if you miss games like Dungeon Master then you can bring them back to life.

You can even use MAME to emulate coin-operated arcade games.

Yep, I used to re-live my old goldeneye days at Uni on an N64 emulator!

Just out of curiosity, what games do you miss enough to bring the N64 back to life?

It would definitely be worth it for Blast Corps or Goldeneye, but apart from those titles there's not much worth going back to.

Goldeneye, donkey kong, super mario and mario kart. I can't remember any others....

Nothing came close to goldeneye; that game was awesome and nearly caused half my mates to fail their degrees! We were hardcore, running 4 separate TV's with the split screens blanked out so you didn't know the starting position of the other players!

That game was truly a fantastic achievement for its time in terms of games design/programming/graphics.

I still recall all the head-shots and tip-toe stuff to complete some of the missions. And the annoying last level which took a few dozen attempts before the Egyptian one with Jaws could be unlocked.

And multiplayer was just awesome, the best part of the entire game.

Have you played Blast Corps at all? That was one of the best games I have come accross on the N64.
