I've had half decent "Harris" Sausages in some pubs. Apparently the importer is call Anglo Asia Foods

Not seen it mentioned but Swiss Butchery (opp. Tanglin Mall) do some pretty convincing 'British' sausages. Just the right amount of meat and .....err filler !

I was thinking of having a go at making some pork pies............but they seem quite tricky, especially if you want the proper jelly in them - you have to boil up bones

I'm an advocate for having a go at making most things from scratch - at least once. But some things are hard enough (puff pastry) that you learn from the process but only wish to do it once. Some things are so difficult to emulate correctly that I honestly can't imagine it's worth trying even once. Pork pies would fall into that camp for me!

So glad having read this thread that I'm not the only one having trouble finding decent sausages! So you guys don't rate any of the supermarket options at all? Not even the more expensive supermarkets like Carrefour and Cold Storage?

Carrefour don't do nice sausages..........or at least they haven't in the past - they may have changed, I don't shop there very often.

As mentioned above, the best I've found from a UK unhealthy person's point of view, are the Broad Oak ones, frozen at Cold Storage. They never were very cheap but they've just raised the price to over $10 per pack now.........wow, Singapore is so expensive these days. I'm quite looking forward to moving back home in a way - I'll save a fortune on grocery shopping even if everything else costs more!

Cold storage do a half-decent selection of sausages at the deli and in the meat fridges.

There is a separate butcher in carrefour at Suntec that does more premium stuff, but they aren't that great and are expensive.

The butcher.com.sg is probably the best option if you are a sausage person!
