Good Haircut for Ang Mo

Post by mochachula » Fri, 16 Dec 2011 12:08 pm

Just wanted to share that I had a very pleasant experience last week, getting a terrific haircut at a reasonable price!
Erwin Chia at Signature Salon, 14 Scotts Rd, #05-81/82, Far East Plaza

One quirk, though - Erwin must own the shop since he kind of comes and goes. The women in the shop didn't seem to know when he would be in. They were kind enough to call me when he came in, and since I was still in the area, was able to get a cut.

He is really good, skillful, and charged $39
8-)

I'll stick to me $10 cut at QB house! $39 is a bit steep!

Totally! I'm not giving more than $10 for a haircut!

How funny!

I was reading posts that said Ang Mo's were paying $300-$500 for haircut and color! Thought I was doing great.

Nah don't be so hard on yourself.

It all depends on who are the customers and what they're doing to the hair. Nutnut and bobypf happened to be males (please, guys, you MUST correct me if i'm wrong! :P) and getting a decent haircut (simple, neat and short) for males doesn't have to cost over $10.

In fact, $39 for cut, wash and blow is considered below average :D

I think you got a great deal! I was scammed into a $85 cut and waited another 1.5 years to get my hair cut again! UGH. $35 is certainly below average--seems like you didn't get the ang moh price! :)
