Beer can chicken

Post by Eibow » Thu, 24 Nov 2011 2:53 pm

Thanksgiving can be everywhere now, but with a chicken, not a turkey... And also not in places like where I live where a BBQ will get you evicted... Anyone tried this? Pretty good actually.

I don't think they sell 40 OZs in Singapore to shove up the rear end of a turkey... I could be wrong though.

You are probably right, you can, however, get a 5 Litre keg from Carrefour, you'd need a pretty big Turkey for that, probably have to grab a calf! Then you'd need one hell of a BBQ....

Would be good though... Mmmmm, beercan calf.... mmmmm

This would be the greatest culinary invention to ever hit Singapore. It's one notch below the notorious hawaiian pig roast. Add a flask of scotch down its mouth and I think we have something here...

:) I agree and I think we should do one. Although, I think depressurizing the beer keg first would be the main thing as it isn't "ringpull" ;)

I propose a BBQ at East Coast Park with a beerkeg calf on the beach... Although, we know stout goes better with Beef than Heiniken....

I would do that in a second. Not sure how easy a calf is to find, but any meat BBQed with beer as its flavoring while more beer is consumed sounds like an amazing plan. The used to be a bi-weekly thing for me.

I googled "Where to buy a dead calf in Singapore" with no good result, I think this may be more trouble than I thought ;) :P . I recon we should stick at it though, someone must be able to assist....
