Hunting in singapore

Post by Starker » Mon, 14 Nov 2011 7:24 pm

Are there any wild places to go hunting in Singapore? Wild hogs and buffalo or similar, and is there a good gun shop anyone could recommend.

Hmmm... I had to look up the IP address on this one... a confirmed proxy server in southern Australia.

About the only hunting you'll get to do in Singapore is for that most elusive of all prey... poon-tang.

Poon tang, never heard of it.

I've know of bantang, which is a type of cattle, we hunt in the Northern Territory.

This is a Bangtang, could you post a picture of a poon tang?

Oh... I reckon you've heard of it... just by a different name.

I suggest you take a look at an atlas (or at a minimum a map of Singapore) and you'll find it is smaller than your backyard ...

Whoops!

Not enough room to swing a cat. Man, how can anyone live in a cramped space like that?
That would seriously wreck my lifestyle.

Guns are very restricted, and there is nothing to hunt.

This must be a depressing place.

Oh very funny. LOL.

I'm glad you didn't post a picture of a poon tang.

LOL.

Mate, you've got 5 million people living on that patch of ground.

How the hell does anyone get away from people, get solitude, get back to nature?

How do people live there?

They don't. They work here. When they've had a belly full they retire or leave or immigrate if they are extremely lucky locals. Lots immigrate to Perth & Sydney & Melbourne! :P

It's called the airplane. But I get what you're saying... I miss the open spaces of Texas... big lakes, piney/hardwood forests... the outdoors.

Singapore is actually good if you are going to live in a big city. There is always the poon-tang... and other diversions... and there are places to 'get away'... not hunting, of course.

You know, I was having a look to see if Hunting was still legal in Malaysia, I had heard of people hunting there years back. Sadly not, so seems you'd have to go a fair way for hunting big game.

As a question to how we live here? All on top of each other ;) :P

Seriously, I've never lived anywhere as big and open as Texas like SE, I seriously think I'd find it difficult! How would I cope without 40 malls within 20 minutes of my doorstep :O :O :P
