Yes. I work in one. Our company has development centers in all continents except Antarctica but the man on the street doesn't know who we are. We're one of the biggest companies you've never even heard of.

Question is, how big is big to you?

Ok, but this may sound naive of me, but I'm gonna tell you anyway. I'm planning to shift jobs soon, and I thought that I might be better of aiming for the big guns and try my luck there. Yes its very superficial, but what the heck, no risk trying.

Wow. Um, big as in reputable among professionals and electronic industry. It doesn't need to be Apple.

Look for jobs. If the big guns are hiring, you'll see them in the major job portals. If they aren't, no point forcing your way, by the virtue of big companies' hiring policies.

Actually, that would not be altogether true. When it comes to software, for example, program trading innovations are closely guarded until someone else figures out what they are. Similarly, risk management software tends to be closely guarded as well.

High frequency trading. Done by software.

It's also becoming a common trope in stories--brilliant guy writing software to trade for him, making really rich, really fast.

Things in fiction eventually find their way in real life.

Wow, inserting :D :D really levels down the sarcasm.

I have been reading the Sat and Sun edition every single week, and looks like most ads are publish by companies that are desperate to hire. I know it, because I'm working in one.
