The Fall - Reformation

Used to listen to The Fall at school, under the bedsheets, illicitly > John Peel Show, Radio 1, 247MW, 10pm each weeknight. They were proteges of his.

Friend of mine used to be their sound engineer, a job she politely described as being one of 'Not seeing eye to eye' lol. I take it that they are not easy people to deal with.

And here is a beautiful piece of guitar on which you can close your eyes and just drift away on...

Cheers To Love - Caracal Album Launch

A rare if not unique thing. A SGn band that presses my buttons.

Considering they're so young this is a staggering piece of music.... incredibly complex and creative composition. 6 minutes into 7, the - whole show - changes.... it's amazing :)

If short of time just get stuck in at 4.30.... woof!

(their studio album is mucho-crispo, but I always prefer live where possible)

p.s.
This is the studio version...

Utah Saints Something Good '08 :

Could SG produce any music that is genuinely 'kicking'?

I have my doubts. They are repressed people.

The boundaries of music are pushed by the renogades (as in all of life). And renogades don't exit in SE Asian society.

Here's a thought. Do you think any SGn bands would be permitted to be furious enough to get recognised?

Pretty Vacant- Sex Pistols (Promo Video 1977, HD)

Steve Jones used to play for school groups in my local church - lol. Used to see him going up and down to the church with his gittar.

.... Mind you the Chemical Bros lived opposite. As did Peter Mandelson... and that Ralph Fynnes chap.

We're Pretty, Pretty Vacant! ;)

Sex Pistols - Holidays In The Sun

p.s. great vid. Reminds me of how going to punk concerts used to be going rather like going to a mass fight and brawl. Blood, spit and beer everywhere.

Yeah. Music shouldn't be just about sitting down and politely accepting what is dished up for you. If it means going and invading the stage and punching the musicians in the face then why not. They're making a proposition to you, so why not make one back.

Attitude lost because of timidity and lust for easy safe-$. That's the current decade.
