The Rolling Stones - freak (Star Star) (Hamburg 1973)

Back when the Stones were still fun.
This song was banned for years...

Edit to add:
I believe it was written about Sarkozy's wife, just 30 years in advance lol

A-HA - The Sun Always Shines on T.V. - Berlin LIVE 2009

More pop I'm into.

It's too easy to dismiss pop as if it is simple and worthless.

.... try and karaoke any of A-ha's songs and I think you'll stop laughing quite quickly.

Canned Heat live at Woodstock 1969.

How to deal with a stage invader. Chalk and cheese. I have difficulty watching Joni Mitchell after seeing the freedom of speech she preaches, but then how she treats those who use it to interupt her making money.

JR8, thanks for all the links. I ... need some time to go through them :)
I am pretty omnivore and listen to all various sorts including jazz and folk. Apart from progressive/symphonic rock:
(on the album bases): i.e. Katie Melua, Dido, Skye/Morcheeba, Alphaville, Marc Almond, Erasure (these two rather listen than watch), Roxette, ELO, ABBA :), Ultravox, Kraftwerk, Mike Oldfield, Cranberries, Riverdance, Blues Brothers, Dreadzone, Enya, Amon Tobin, plus a good few endemic to my country.
(3-5 song bases, more recent): Hooverphonics, Lenka, Franz Ferdinand, Beautiful South...

Hehehehe.... no pressure at all to reply. That was the stack I dumped on Facebook for my friends this w/e. As we do.

You are into an eclectic mix! Is there some reason for the Gaelic thing you have going on?

p.s. I never thought about Marc Almond much (not really my kind of thing) until I heard this. Woof, powerful! Have to respect him after that!

For some reason the Jools Holland Show really brings out the best in bands. Crikey I even found myself watching and admiring Liza Minelli hehehe :)
