Post by letdoit » Fri, 03 Jun 2011 12:20 pm

When to batam and the tour guide said they are selling real (genuine) T-shirts at batam. Which selling S$25. Tour guide said because is out of fashion model, that why selling cheap at factory outlet at batam.

Is there anything worth buying over there if one isn't after dodgy t-shirts?

I wouldn't wear Burberry if it was real at half that price. It's so chav-tastic :D

To be quiet honest I have never seen a Brit with Burberry full stop! That would be devastating to ones reputation in the low class even! Buuurberry haha! Rather have M&S any day   if your discussing low class. I doubt you will see Buuurberry outside of London, so it could be a con for the tourist  and looking at the website, actually never heard of it until coming to Asia, so what does that tell you? Originated in the back streets of Liverpool maybe.

Well, I'd take M&S over EVERY other brand, not just Burberry. :)

In Britain yes. However it is very popular with Korean ladies and they carry it well. No negative connotation there. One man's meat is another's poison.
