Does anybody go to a shooting range here?

Post by free.wired » Fri, 11 Mar 2011 8:26 pm

Hi, looking to find out if there are any shooting ranges that anybody frequents?

I am not looking to own a gun here specifically, but any information would be great!

There is a shooting club, somewhere up near Woodlands. I considered it but never went further given how up-tight SG society is in general. I don't need police checks and the rubber glove treatment just because I want to go and shoot 100 clays now and again.

Google it.

Yes do let me know if you take it any further.

Shooting is one of my favourite sports, and if it is viable at that club then I would be interested next time I move back to SG.

In case anyone takes that as a 'no'.

You can get day membership of SGC ... http://www.singaporegunclub.com/?Membership

... which in effect means that it is open to the public.

Hi FW, the prices seem very reasonable. I'm currently not in-country.

Would be interested in your thoughts if you do get there.

I just emailed them to check. I'm not too interested in shooting clay every time either :-|

"Dear Robert,

No issue at all if you are holding a foreign passport.

For handgun, cost is $150.00. Price is inclusive of day pass, gun rental, 100rds of target and instructor fee.

To make your booking, you may contact james the instructor at 98169124.

Regards,

Laysee"

And there we go, about double price to go from shotgun to handguns. I should ask what type of handguns they're using
I'm going to book something in the near future

*EDIT* Their reply: Beretta, Hekler & Koch USP, Glock 17 etc etc
