Post by smiley86 » Sun, 30 Jan 2011 5:06 pm

I have been here 1 month and I am craving a really good sunday roast - can anyone recommend a restaurant here that serves good roast dinners?!

We haven't tried it yet, but have heard good things about the Sunday roast at The Old Brown Shoe on Bukit Timah.

We have had a couple of pretty fun evenings there too :D

Sunday brunch at the Hilton on Orchard Road is first class, with carved to order roasts amongst the huge spread.

Then of course you have the brunch at Raffles if you want to knock yourself completely out! :)

Wow, thank you very much, I will be going to one of those places soon. It wasn't until I moved here two months ago that I realised how much I LOVE Sunday roasts!

Muddy Murphys and the Dubliner do roasts, but they're not cheap. I'm not sure how much MM's is but the Dubliner's one is around $25 I believe. I've never tried it though so I don't know what it's like.

Oh and some of the other Muddy Murphy chain pubs might do them too (they have a website) - I'm pretty sure Scruffy Murphys do them and wouldn't be surprised if the Penny Black and Durty Nellies do too.

Not sure if they have Roast roast, but there is this promo going for some meat buffet for Sundays .

Saw it in FB. cant remember the site....treats something or other, you might wanna google

Cant remember what they have but long list of meats.

The last time I had lovely roast was at Black Angus now at Bk Timah Rd. Beautifully done....especially the raw portions which I LOVE!

If there is such a thing as a 'roast roast', what is an unroast roast?

... and how can a roast have raw portions?

carnivores meat quality is iffy IMO

best roast we have had so far was at the Shangri-La Buffet (we went on a saturday evening - beef was lovely (though Mandarin orientals also as good) but Shangri-La had yorkie puds and delicious roast spuds too with gravy - 3 platefuls and I was content ! Oriental didnt have yorkies...and spuds werent as good
Lurked and Looked for a while now..been here for a few months so starting to contribute :-)
