Where should I get my ring cleaned?

Post by ttujess » Thu, 03 Mar 2011 8:35 pm

I'm looking for a reputable jeweler who can clean and inspect my wedding ring. I've lost one of the small stones on the band and want to get all the other prongs checked - don't wanna lose anymore stones!! Plus it's just gotten a bit dull and the DIY cleaners just don't get the job done like a pro can.

Do any of you have someone you trust and won't charge me an arm and a leg???

Where did you buy the ring from?

I send them to Aspial to have it cleaned.

I use a home dip-pot that I bought at the Thai open-day fest thing at the embassy last year. Leave my wifes rings in there for half an hour, give them a gentle brush with an old toothbrush, rinse under fresh water and pat dry on kitchen roll.

Believe me I am a diamond snob (or afficionado), and this process is all her stones need.

Got it in Texas 8 years ago, so I've always taken it to the place we bought it from since they did the cleaning for free. They also inspected all the prongs to make sure the stones were safe and snug :)

I'll def check Aspial out, thanks!

I've got one of those Ultrasonic cleaners. Seems to do a good job. It also great for bracelets & necklaces and watch bracelets.
