Well.. normally you should be able to receive the calls 1 month before training... they dun call you too soon unless your training is about to start.. say 4 - 6 weeks..

reneme wrote:Hi all,

I've got a burning question. I have already received the email with the commencement of the training date. However, when I'm tendering, my boss needs me to stay on for more than a month (I had previously state notice period of 1 month). Which means I will not be able to commence on the date given by SIA.

I am now wondering if I get back to Mary on this, will she just chuck me one side and drop my application once and for all?

Any kind soul/moderator can advise me on this?

p/s: my boss in order to convinced me, went to ask around his cabin crew friends and he said that he heard from his friends that SQ will not continue the contract once the cabin crew hit 27 or 28. Is that true? Anyone can verify this?
Not true on the age factor you put there...

Contract is dependent on your performance during the 5 years. If no contract is offer after 27, 28... how do you think we get experience senior crews, or even leading, chief and IFS ? =)

So.. that's not true, contract renewal is based on performance.

As for the very first question.. well.. I hope you have settle it with your boss or even SIA.. because.. the later you do so.. the more trouble you are giving the recruitment staff.. (in th first place, you shouldn't have put 1 month...)
